Worldview Basics

I appreciated the content and organization of information. After taking a lot of notes by hand for the first lesson, I then discovered that I could actually print out the info - SUPER HELPFUL and I am glad to have access to this information quickly in print version for the future. Thanks.

This was a very interesting course. It does reaffirm my belief in the Christian faith but it also opens my eyes to how others think.

This course actually opened my mind to understand how the whole truth of God in our Bible has been rearranged according to new ideologies! New ways to incorporate non believers or partial believers into the whole grand picture of our Jesus Christ.

This was a great course. The questions are, at times, tricky. I'm not sure that helps in my learning. To the extent they force me to review areas in more detail, that is helpful.  

An interesting survey of worldviews from the angle of comparative religion. It helps me understand what ideologies people around me are driven by, and may help in future during evangelism. Of course, the biblical worldview (or any other worldview) actually includes more distinctives than reality, identity, origins, meaning, values, and the future, as presented here. It also needs to grapple with different questions/choices like "why is there suffering?", "are white lies, abortion, euthanasia, etc., ok?", "can the ends justify the means?", etc. These issues belong to advanced courses, but this course is, understandably, just an introduction to worldviews and is useful for comparative religion. In this aim, it has succeeded admirably.

Great course and helped me understand some more about these worldviews that I had already taken initiative to study, and have experienced as the beliefs of others — or atleast their claim to believe as a system of thought, philosophy, and/or practice.

Good knowledge about others general views of people

Most of my "worldview" courses have been in the context of world religions but considering that the majority of our population is becoming more and more "non-religious", I found this to be extremely enlightening in understanding other thought patterns of belief.

I came into this with a solid understanding of the Biblical Worldview, but not a great understanding of the others. This course was a great introduction to the major worldviews and was organized in a way that helps one compare and contrast all layers of each worldview.

This course especially helped me to see how each worldview has some truth in God's Word, and thus give connecting points in conversations with others having different worldviews.

Very interesting - it provided me with a much-needed background on the other religions and worldviews.

Loved it! It has made me want to dive deeper in understanding why people believe what they believe and how do I best work with them to show them the Gospel.

Confusing at times and hard to follow. A chart would be nice to see it all laid out side by side with comparisons.

I really enjoyed this course. The six different worldviews were clearly explained. I especially liked learning how they all agree with a part of the biblical view, they just distort it and mislead people. It all starts with God!

Very insightful

I felt the course was deeper and more sophisticated than expected. It was worthwhile and stimulated a lot of thought. I appreciated the conciseness of the worldview definitions and the printed materials.

I appreciated the course and felt it was organized reasonably well. I do wish the writing of the text/video script was less rigid. It seemed to be written for "special English" which made it a bit boring to listen to.

This was good but very difficult for me to understand. I have been around only Biblical worldview and had no base for just about any of the others but is good to have a base to know where people are coming from as I try to share the gospel.
