If Jesus did not perform such miracles, his claims would have been much less viable. There is a reason that the phrase “actions are louder than words” is so powerful.
Charles Manson claims to be the Messiah as have many others. Where are the “signs”? They have claims and followers, but nothing else. Christ had it all.
Through his actions, not just words Jesus shows his authority. He was showing he had control over human bodies as well as nature itself. Only the creator of everything can have this kind of authority, one who knows how it all works.
It is often said that actions speak louder than words, not a quote from scripture, but I feel that it is applicable to this question. The actions of Jesus supported His verbal claims, and also gave a glimpse into what the kingdom of Heaven would be like.
Jesus’miracles puts a stamp on his authority and helps make him more credible. No one else besides God could perform the miracles he was doing.
I think it would have been much more difficult to believe Him if he never did any miracle. It is in our nature to believe people more when they show with their actions.
It would have been so hard time to believe that Jesus christ was the same attributes with God if he couldn’t show his powerful and authority by doing miracles.
It would have been difficult to believe that Jesus was God if He hadn’t shown His power and authority.
It would have been very difficult. To just tell someone is hard for people to see, people need proof and Jesus miracles provided that proof
Words alone have very little power and cause for conviction. It was His miracles that earned the attention and trust of His followers… and his enemies. His miracles were not only wonderful and awesome but proved to be of selfless love and humility.
Credibility is established through credible people experiencing events that they believe to be true. We still are surprised when we also experience miracles and know them to be a continuation of God’s glory.
Not credible. The miracles provide proof of Jesus deity.
By performing these miracles he demonstrated his deity. They becomes no room for interpretation of what he had done.
