Yes. Many people take parts of scripture out of context and use it to support their world views.

Yes. It gives context to believe the what and why of life, origin, identity, issues and the future.

I believe that God is the Creator of all things and the author of all that is true. What people choose to do with that truth afterwards, to make it work for them and to interpret it differently than what it means in its original truth is what I believe happens throughout other various worldviews.

I agree that mostly all other worldviews, at least in some part, draw some of their belief system from scripture.

Because God’s Word is true and has always been, all things, whether they know it or not, probably pull from the ultimate Truth. It just gets distorted.

I believe that God is the originator of ALL. He created all. Therefore all things that are have a thread of Him. We just have to find that thread and follow it to Him.

Yes, the scriptures speak the truth and all worldviews are a distraction from TRUTH.

Yes, The biblical authors have been addressing worldviews that aren’t centered on God’s glory from the beginning

Yes. All worldviews need some sort of ‘truth’ to be centered upon. And it’s interesting that you can find pieces of scripture to illustrate the different worldviews. But they are all a part of the whole, you can’t take it out of the context of the whole – God’s plan of redemption and restoration.

Yes, I do think there are tiny aspects of truth in some other world views other than Christianity

Yes, I think God has placed eternity in the hearts of all mankind. Being made in His image, sin has distorted and seperated God’s good order. When we become a new creation in Christ, God redeems and restores it! And He will create the new heaven and earth where sin will no longer have a place!

Yes, I do agree with C S Lewis that other world views share some biblical values. For example, Life without God has no objective meaning (Eccl. 1:1-4) – Existentialism, God is the creator of the universe (Gen1:1)-Deism, Spiritual realities can be experienced (John 4:24)- Pantheism. In the end, the different worldviews are somewhat related. It is not surprising since all human being ( and their opinions) are somewhat related, a biblical truth. We are all descendants of Adam and Eve.

Yes. It is very interesting. I think even in many church groups, we can get stuck on one verse. I also think we often can skip verses that don’t work out as well for us. This is a great illustration to remind us of the importance of holding the Bible as God’s truth, not just the parts that are easy and work best for us.
