Leadership is complicated because of the human elements that people bring. People have different capacities to learn and lead, different strengths, emotions, all of which need to be cultivated in order to create unity and ownership in fulfilling the vision.
Every situation and group is different and may require a specific style and combination of styles to encourage participation and completion of the task. Not every leader can lead every group. What one leader may be effective in may not mean that he/she is effective in a different area.

Leader ship is so “complicated due to the fact that people don’t understand the two different types of leaders. Do you have a vocal leader than you have an actual leader. The problem is when people are on a team and the vocal guy is speaking to them they take it personal. So the action guy has to come and explain what the vocal guy was referring to.
People are complicated. Leading people is significantly more complicated. Being a good leader means you are walking in truth and love. Love is patient, kind, does not envy, keeps no record of wrong. As humans, we can be impatient, not kind, we definitely keep records of wrongs. If we can lead through love, victory and confidence in the Lord, we will effectively get the followers where God wants them to go.

People are all created differently and uniquely, therefore there can’t be one set way to lead. If we truly want our leadership to reflect Christ and involve people, there needs to be many parts in order to meet people where they’re at and empower them forward.
Leadership is hard because it involves people! People are unique and different, and leadership is about being skilled, motivated, gifted, and experienced in a situation AND connect with others to move them to somewhere better.
There are constantly changing aspects to leadership, including the people, the needs, the situations. It cannot be just 1 thing.
There are a lot of moving parts. The leader has some pressure to get results but sometimes results are at odd with people and relationships.
I think leadership can be complicated because situational leadership is always needed. There are several different scenarios that can play out and knowing how to adapt and be resourceful for all situations isn’t always a “leaders” strong suit
I really like what he said about the golf club analogy. Each club does something different and you have to know how to use it. That is what makes leadership so complicated. You have several different types of leadership and you have to know how to use them with all kinds of different types of people.
