      The Pool of Bethesda is important because the historicity of the Bible is in agreement with archaeology. It points to the fact that the Bible is true in its content, and disproves the arguments of many; including liberal Christian professors. The Bible must then be considered a reliable book as far as history is concerned because its contents continue to be proven true, time and time again.
