Our doctrine defines who we are as a believer. It defines how we see God as our creator, provider and sustainer, our view of the how we are reconciled to God, the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives and the deity and lordship of Jesus Christ. Without the correct understanding of these and other conviction level doctrine we will minimize our walk with the Lord and our ability to properly worship Him. We actually stand in danger of thinking we are God’s elect when we really have not been reconciled at all.
Correct doctrine is highly important for not only our faith, but also for how we should live our life according to the Bible. Having incorrect doctrine can be most dangerous for our lives.
Correct doctrine is of utmost importance for our faith. Our Lord Jesus Christ is full of grace and truth, and both fully human and God. He is human because only human can take the place for our sins; he is God because only God can save us.
Paul wanted to let the people know the true deity of Christ and gave an accurate teaching about Jesus Christ, as the Son of God and to reassure readers that Jesus’s claims to save us from sin and give us the abundant life is legitimate and also the power and joy that God provides for living the Christian life. Paul also urges us to submit to Christs authority and to set your minds on the things above and not on earthly things and the world cannot give us joy this power comes only from Jesus Christ.
Having correct doctrine insures that we have the truth. If we have false doctrine, we don’t have the truth about Jesus and the lives we’re supposed to live.
Without correct doctrine, our faith isn’t worth anything. If we don’t believe that Jesus is God and Jesus is Man, it goes against everything.
Incorrect doctrine is dangerous; it undermines everything about our faith. With incorrect doctrine, false teachings can creep in, and eventually our beliefs would be completely off.
If this was not true, then we have no hope
A correct teaching about Christ’s deity and humanity reassures readers that Jesus’s claim to save us from sin and give us the abundant life is legitimate.
We must stay true and obedient to God’s Word. When we stray and allow discordant and false teaching to creep in then soon we become a church based on the whims of popular culture not the strong, unchanging and steadfast word of our one true God.
Correct Doctrine is important because, at it’s core, doctrine is about knowing who God is. Believing lies leads to death – pursuing truth leads to life.
There false teaching regarding angel worship and secret knowledge and philosophy – major emphasis was to correct the false teaching regarding Jesus as the son of God.
It is a corner stone of Christianity. Who is Christ? Without this understanding being nailed down I would say all else crumbles.
We must always make sure that we do not allow false doctrine to enter our church and our lives. It can be very destructive to our personal lives as well as keeping others from becoming Christians
If we allow any false doctrine to enter the church, it can and will lead to other false doctrines and many will be led away from the truths of the Gospel.
Without correct doctrine the church would be open to any kind of teaching and would become worthless. People would not really be saved because they were not taught the true gospel. Many would not believe that Jesus was both man and God, many would not believe he actually died on the cross, many would not believe he arose the third day and many would be Judaizers who would believe Christians still had to follow and fulfill the Mosaic Law.
True doctrine is important to lead us to God.
Simply put, false doctrine will lead us astray.

Correct doctrine is very important because it’s truth will set you free. Correct doctrine is where the Holy Spirit is alive. Correct doctrine lets you know the power you have through Jesus Christ. As Christians, we are held responsible for ministering the truth about Jesus Christ; it is the only way someone can become a believer.
Correct doctrine will gives us the true picture of who our Lord Christ is. It will also allow us to know His desires for us and allow us to follow His path for us.
Christ is fully God and fully man.
Correct doctrine is important in order to reach and teach people about Jesus. Presenting a false image of who Jesus is will ultimately hinder one’s walk with God. It will cause people to be judgmental, self righteous and arrogant. This will keep people from truly knowing the real Jesus.
Correct doctrine is correct because important because it allows believers to focus on teachings of Jesus who though deity but also came in the form of flesh to save humanity.
Colossians was written to correct a false teaching about Christ’s deity and humanity. Correct doctrine is important in order to dismiss confusion. The Bible teaches believers to study to show myself approved unto God. When we work out our salvation by reading the word of God and applying the word to our circumstances and situation, the word will work and our trust is increased.
But on the other hand, if we are not familiar with the scriptures and lack the wisdom, knowledge and understanding from the word for ourselves, we can easily became mislead into false teaching.
The gospels teach about Christ’s deity and humanity. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John have written documentation of Jesus’s life, death, burial, and resurrection. These books give us encouragement and hope that our Lord lived a life as an example of humility, joy, and the fruit of the spirit. When Jesus left this earth, He promised us eternal life with Him. Let’s receive these truth with humility and confidence.

The truth sets people free.
Correct doctrine helps lead people on the righteous path of Christ… It needs to be correct so that the path doesn’t dissolve or lead to evil.
Without studying and understanding the correct doctrine, we could not understand the true meaning of Christianity.
Jesus was fully God and fully human. This is important as only God can perform miracles, and break the power of sin and death.
