Jerry Solomon argues from the axiom “from nothing comes nothing” to argue for the existence of an eternal God. Since living things are made of DNA and it carries information, why is this significant from a creationist point of view?

If ones disects the phrase “from nothing comes nothing”, then they would come to conclude only a living person with thought and emotion could come from something. DNA is proof that people came from something and that something is a Creator!

Information is a non-tangible. Matter does not carry information – it must come from a consciousness and a design.

Jerry Solomon’s thought process means that in order for something to exist, there must have always been something that has existed in order to create it. Since living things are made of DNA and it carries information, Frank Pastore discussed that, “Information only comes from a mind…that there’s got to be a mind behind the information in DNA”.

There are no observations in our earth’s history where any pattern or natural organization has begun by itself without previous patterns or an intelligence behind it.

This is significant because DNA has a lot of information which could not exist without an intelligent God. DNA could not have come from nothing.

DNA comes from intelligent minds and minds carries information that show something originate from something so God is originator of everything to exist.

DNA carries information and is very intentional and organized and this supports that there is a God with specific plans and purposes.

That God carefully made each and everything on earth. That such DNA requires an Intelligent Designer to create such a marvel.

Our world exists and it originated from something at some point in time. It does seem more legitimate that the existence of matter came from a mind as opposed to saying that a mind, as we know it, came from matter.

DNA has a specific set of instructions which means that someone had to create those guidelines in order for DNA to exist in the first place.

Information comes from intelligence. In order for DNA to contain information it must’ve come from an intelligent source. It is highly unlikely that simple evolutionary steps would be sufficient to create the depth of information available in DNA

From the lecture, the information of DNA “only comes from a mind, you can’t get a rational effect from a nonrational cause. ” So God the Creator has to be the mind that created the information in DNA.

DNA is carried in living things and is not like a plant who cannot think or have a conscience like man.
