It will help because I know he will be standing next to me, as my best friend, going through the suffering with me. plus the suffering he endured is so uch more than I ever will
It is comforting to know that Jesus has been through similar sufferings to me. In fact, he endured far more than what I will probably ever have to experience.
Jesus suffered more than I’ll be able to comprehend. Yet, when I suffer, He is still there suffering along with me because He loves me.
Knowing and remembering that when I suffer, Christ was afflicted and suffers with me. I’m not alone in my suffering, even when it feels like it. The challenge is to remember this and not focus on self.
Knowing that you aren’t alone doesn’t mean that you feel better but feeling less lonely is helpful as you suffer.
Knowing the Jesus has suffered for us and that he is with us as we are going our sufferings
It helps to know that we are not alone. That no matter what we go through or how deeply we suffer, God is with us.
Knowing that He is suffering along side me helps me know that I am not alone. In my CrossFit community we have a saying, “Fitness (aka suffering) with friends is fun.” It is a running joke, we aren’t really suffering like they are talking about here, but the challenge is made easier and more enjoyable when it is with others. We can encourage each other and understand what one another are going through. Knowing that God is going through our sufferings with us is kinda like that.
Christ suffered for me. He goes through all that I go through. He understands what is happening and feels my pain. We don’t go through our hardships alone. He is our comforter.
God became man and suffered like man. He has complete understanding of what our suffering is like. It helps to know that our suffering is understood and felt by God, by Christ that gave His life so I might live. It gives me comfort that my suffering is understood and that my God is empathetic to my suffering.
When I think of the struggles in my life, it helps to put them into perspective. Jesus was lead like a sheep to the slaughter for US and OUR sins.
