Leadership is about taking people where they need to go. Management is about overseeing people do specific things while at a specific place.
Leadership is being a role model and management is maintaining, staying leveled.
Leaders take you some place new and managers manage when you get there
Leadership takes you on a journey from here to there; vision with a destination. Management helps you accomplish things on the way.
Leadership takes people to new places, management helps folks accomplish the tasks they are responsible for in those places.
Management helps us do what we are supposed to do while in that place while leadership has a vision and takes us somewhere new.

Leadership is the act of taking people to a new place or height, whereas management is making sure things are functioning properly to maybe only maintain the status quo.

Leadership is taking people somewhere that they may not want to particularly go. Management is more about controlling a situation.

Leadership is about motivating people to comprehend and believe in the vision for themselves personally and as a group and to work with you on achieving a goal. While management is more about administering work or a vision ensuring the day-to-day activities are getting done as they should.

I think… leadership is taking people where they were not previously and management is overseeing tasks
I think that leaders know how to lead by managing the ones around them. Management is just a group of people together that think they know what they’re doing. Trying to bring leader ship skills into the fold.
Leadership sometimes doesn’t include taking over a situation or circumstance, management a lot of times is controlling a situation and micro-managing
Leadership requires more vision and care. Management feels more day to day.

Leadership is actively moving towards a goal or destination that one must be able to adapt as variables change to keep moving forward. Leadership directs management in being able to oversee the work to be done to reach the goals set in place. In order to do both effectively there must be open communication between the two channels. Management follows leadership’s directives and oversees the community of people to guide them in the tasks needed to get the work done.

Leadership involves taking people from one place to another, with the hope that the end will be better than where you started on the journey. It’s a process of helping someone. Management is more of the standstill and the doing in that moment/place/season. You’re not in a process of going somewhere when you’re managing or being managed.
