People ask about the meaning of life so that we understand our purpose. We do not like to participate in activities or events unless we know WHY. By looking at life through Jesus Christ, we can find meaning in even the small things
I think it is human nature to want to know what our purpose on earth is supposed to be, and I also think we want our lives to have meaning. Of course, if we just realize that the meaning doesn’t come here but in eternity with our Lord, Jesus Christ, life would be so much more fulfilling.
People ask questions about the meaning of life because without Christ, there is no meaning to this life. We were created to worship and live for Him above anything else and if we don’t, we will never be truly fulfilled.
People ask questions about the meaning of life because they are unsure of their calling.
Personally I think they weren’t brought up or introduced to the Christian faith. Not knowing God and the unfailing love he has for us.
Because they want to know why we are here? And what is the purpose of life?
Because we what to understand how an why we are here.
Mans has a deire to know why he exists.
People want to have self-worth and knowing the purpose of our lives gives us a sense of control over life.
We exist, and we want to know why. We come to knowledge through the Bible.
It is a part of the revelation of God. We ask because we know there must be more; God’s revelation to our conscience.
We are all created with an inner knowing that life should have meaning because we are made in the image of God. When people do not understand their Creator, and even when they do, there is a searching for “Why am I here?” Scriptures help us to see how much our life has meaning. The world will never satisfy or help us in what the Lord can only give.
People ask questions about the meaning of life because they are trying to find purpose for their time here on Earth.
Humans think that life can live with their own thoughts and wills. However, people feel human limitations in real life and cannot find satisfaction. So I want to know who I am and where I am from. That is the beginning of the first meaning of life that humans have.
People want to know why they are here. I feel that everyone deep down wants to know their purpose in this world. I also feel like many people are trying to fill a space in themselves by answering the questions about the meaning of not just life, but their life. People ask questions about the meaning of life because they don’t want to believe that there life is meaningless.
We all, including myself, want to know that we have more meaning than just wandering aimlessly throughout time and space. We all have a craving for acceptance and approval. We are in search for self gratification but fail miserably and when we do, we feel lost and alone. So we start searching for meaning in various forms. Some turn to alcohol, drugs and sex to escape the loneliness and rejection. It is when we hit rock bottom that our search really begins. When we have nowhere else to turn and all that we have tried has failed us we begin looking up. It is then that we see God reaching down from the balcony of Heaven with an out stretched hand waiting for us to grab hold allowing Him to pull us up and set us on the right path. It is then that we can experience the meaning that God has delicately woven into our hearts and minds. It is then that He fills the void that once filled our meaningless lives. It is then that we feel the acceptance and approval we once hungered for.
So the answer to the question posed above, knowing the meaning of life is as important to the human psyche as breathing is to the body for without meaning our lives do not feel worth living and we cannot function or serve and worship the Lord as He intended.

I believe that when sin entered the world every human had a void or an empty space in their life. They were separated from God so they did not know what to do. Every human has been wandering around looking for the meaning of life ever sense. Most people try to fill it with other things hoping it will fill that space and answer that question to why am I here? What is my purpose? Why do I feel empty? Maybe if I drink this alcohol it will make me feel whole again? Maybe if I eat this food it will fill that space? Maybe if I take this drug it will bring me joy. Maybe if I buy myself some new clothes I will feel prettier? Nothing on this earth will ever satisfy us. All those things are temporary. Nothing can satisfy and fill the space in our life except the one that we were separated from in the first place. The only way to find out the meaning of life is to ask the creator of your life.
I think that people question the meaning of life because we desire to know our purpose, and along side that, our creator.
There are many suggestions that knowing our “why” in any situation is powerful, motivating, and renewing. I think our desire to know our “why” leads people to ask questions about the meaning of life.
Many people are on the field, therefore having trouble to find purpose and meaning for life. Jesus is the gift of life and without him you will not find your true meaning or your purpose. People spend many times trying to find meaning and purpose in all the wrong directions and all of our things. But to find the true meaning of life we must have a true relationship with the life giver itself
There is an inherent desire or maybe a pull of the heart- It is our nature to ask and seek and that is given to us by God
There is a dissatisfaction with accomplishments and all of life’s toys, and people ask themselves what is there that would make life complete–worthwhile. Inevitably, the answer is the same one Solomon arrived at: life without God is not satisfactory. God has put eternity in the heart of man and not knowing the source of eternity or how to obtain that life leaves people unsettled. Once, the individual finds the answer the whole perspective of life falls into place.
because deep inside of people there soul isn’t and can not be satisfied with what life brings to them, its only God can fill that void.
Because we are uncertain. It is hard to believe in something you cannot see or touch.
People ask questions about the meaning of life because most of people their not sure about their life that’s why their fighting to find what will satisfy the desire of their heart.
The fact that people are even asking questions about the meaning of life, should show that their is a greater significance to life and that can only be satisfied through Jesus Christ.
People ask questions about the meaning of life because most of them they know nothing the ultimately of their lives after getting the end of journey, so need to get something better to satisfy their hearts.
I believe people ask this question because it relates to every person on Earth. I think there are so many conflicting beliefs and ideas that people give, that so many people struggle with this question. I think people try to achieve in ways that they think will bring them happiness or a sense of worth, but many realize these are fleeting. I believe people realize that there has to be more than this life, when we are really just a speck on the timeline of eternity.
People as questions about the meaning of life in order to find purpose and motivation, to find a reason to get out of bed every morning. There’s security in knowing you have value, or there’s reason/purpose to why things happen, or that there’s a goal to work towards.
People ask about the meaning of life as they age and look back on the things they have done and the things they bought and start to look at the future and see how these things really dont matter in the scheme of things.
People ask questions about the meaning of life; Because most people have a sense of satisfaction and fulfillment morally but independant of God, and towards the end of their lives they are perplex and unable to have that inner peace in their hearts due to a lack of Spiritual values from God. Moral values is not enough by itself. As per Solomon a life without God is a pursuit of the wind. Everything is futile.
I think people have an innate or inner yearning for satisfaction and fulfilment. Especially in tough times, people need comfort, encouragement and assurance, etc. so that they can move on. But in the process they have come to realize that things may not necessarily go the way they expect, hope or believe. Then thoughts about what would happen next in life press them to ponder about what the present or future hold for them. The uncertainty and complexity of the present or the future inevitably oblige them to do some reasoning about life: its purpose.
People want to know what the purpose of all the work and stress that they must endure, the sadness, loss, pain, evil…
Because we all have a desire to know our purpose and the purpose for this life we live.
