Lesson Overview

In criminal justice, reentry continues to increase in numbers as more and more prisoners are released from incarceration, yet the recidivism rate is high, with many rearrested within the first six months after release. The needs and barriers in reentry contribute to this high rate of rearrests. This lecture will highlight the reentry needs and barriers and offer principles and practices foundational for effective case management to improve the outcomes of offenders released into the community.
