Lesson Nine focuses on the wisdom literature produced by Israel’s inspired sages. We discover a biblical definition of wisdom and introduce principles for studying these amazing books.

When you complete this lesson, you should be able to do the following:
- Explain how proverbs differ from promises.
- Understand how Proverbs and Ecclesiastes represent two ends of a spectrum on how to view life.
- Describe how the book of Job deals with the age-old question of why good people suffer.
