This course investigates the doctrine of Christology, focusing on the person and work of Jesus Christ. Jesus is God in the flesh, the center of all history, and the only hope for the salvation of humanity and creation.

Describe the doctrines of the Trinity and incarnation in relation to the person of Jesus Christ.
Provide a timeline of the past, present and future life and ministry of Jesus.
Survey Jesus’ work especially in terms of his human offices.

Dr. Doriani gives a fairly comprehensive study of Christ, ranging from his identity and nature as God-man from eternity, to his fulfilment of his requirements to be Messiah, especially as expressed in the offices of prophet, priest, and king. Dr. Doriani gives a very logical development of these areas, so that his treatment should be accessible to most Christians who have at least a minimal knowledge of the Bible. It's also applaudable that in each section he suggests the modern applications, so that Christology does not turn out to be a stale subject, far removed from life.

I would have preferred that the lectures be broken down into one-hour lectures rather than the two-hour lectures. Some times it is difficult to carve out two hours of time to listen to the lecture. I was only able to listen to one of the five lectures in one setting. The other four I listen to half (approximate 1 hour) of the lecture and then had to come back at another setting and listen to the second half. Overall it was a great course and I leaned a lot.
