You couldn’t ask for a more controversial topic than slavery. We are all aware of the many ways humans are being trafficked in our world today. And we also know that the Bible has been used in the past to support some of the worst forms of slavery. 

So this lesson takes us on an important path into Paul’s views on slavery and, just as importantly, his views on liberty. Let’s try to look through Paul’s eyes at a first century institution that became a metaphor of what we are all liberated from.
