Keeping Sabbath Today

Of all the topics introduced in Hebrews, one fascinating one with very practical implications is the observance of Sabbath today. How do we actually live a Sabbath lifestyle? We might immediately think of what we do or don’t do on one special day of the week. But that’s not the focus in this book.

The writer of Hebrews calls us to “observe the Sabbath” while it is still called “today.” That means seeing every moment as an opportunity either to rest in God’s reign or to strive in our own strength.
