Daniel was challenged to remain faithful to YHWH in exile, under the pressures of a foreign court. The faithfulness of Daniel and his friends was rewarded, and the God of Israel was proven to be the true God. The rivals and opponents of Daniel and his friends, on the other hand, experienced very different outcomes.

Read Daniel 2:10-12; 3:29; 4:33; 6:24.

  1. Summarize the message of these passages to those who would rival God’s chosen representatives.
