  Like I said in the last lesson’s post, I had been giving to missions, even when I was not receiving anything. (It came to a point when my main account fell short of cash flow to pay the upcoming credit card bill! I managed to transfer other funds to tide over that time, but I had to stop my missions giving.) Then, when I had to do missions without support from anyone and my account was dwindling, I was somewhat overwhelmed when I pondered this issue of tithes. But I think the reminder about biblical principles in this lesson can help me to resume my trust in the Lord and give, albeit in a small way only. At least, the habit of giving while saving will help me steer away from anchoring my heart on earthly treasures and instead build heavenly treasures. I do not think there are any mechanical “steps” one can take to change the state of the heart (any such human scheme would have been merely superficial), but as I give again regularly, God will place that joy and generosity in my heart.

  I set apart Tithe account and give to church and various charities from the Tithe account. I always wait for the opportunity to help the poor and needy with full of joy and love.
