Summative Activity: Put It All Together
Spend a few minutes thinking back on what you’ve learned in this course. Consider what new knowledge or perspectives you will take with you. In your journal, write a few short statements in response to each of these questions:
- What have you learned about God’s identity?
- What have you learned about your own identity?
In your journal, write a mission statement for yourself as a shepherd leader. Take inspiration from your answers to the reflection questions in previous lessons. Use the three characteristics (compassionate provision, courageous protection, and competent guidance) as prompts.
“My mission as a shepherd leader is to…”
God seeks compassionate and nurturing shepherds who sustain His people with provision in an inhospitable environment.
God seeks courageous and vigilant shepherds who secure His people with protection in a hostile environment.
God seeks wise and competent shepherds who guide His people with a shared mission in an uncertain environment.
