I feel confident in the buffer to expectation and in the clarity of purpose in using Soul Care to make sure I’m in a space where I’m understanding that the Spirit is about to work, and will do so in my own interior exploration bringing out the wonder and value of both myself and the other person as image bearers.

I really enjoyed the first sessions in Foundations 1. The review really reminded me why I am called to pursue the heart and soul of people. As a pastor, I can easily believe that simply preaching the word is enough. SoulCare makes me feel like there is an art to applying the word in a way that connects with the journey of the soul.

Brokenness and inadequacy are prerequisites for providing SoulCare, so I recognize my inadequacy to help other people who have problems and my own brokenness, and my need for the Spirit of God to intervene in the situation to help the person/people.

I love getting to the bottom of it all. I love how it’s biblically based .. which I believe often presents the reality of what’s really going on whereby preventing laboring over the soul unnecessarily.

I feel relieved. The focus on the core of the problem and honesty means we don’t need to get caught up in the constantly evolving issues of people’s daily problem, but we can have compassion for those issues while addressing the root problem of their priorities and God.
