Our Daily Bread University (ODBU) has been a part of Our Daily Bread Ministries since 1995. From the beginning, our mission has been to provide affordable and accessible online courses for the enrichment and equipping of leaders for the global Church.
At ODBU we believe that study is an important part of our growth as disciples of Jesus Christ. “The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge, for the ears of the wise seek it out” (Proverbs 18:15). In 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Paul tells us: “All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” That is our mission at ODBU: to thoroughly equip disciples of Jesus Christ around the world to grow and serve the kingdom of God in their contexts.
We strive to bring you the highest quality learning resources at no or low cost in a convenient, self-paced digital environment. All our courses are biblically based, theologically sound, and taught by expert scholars in their field.
Every month 60,000 individuals from over 200 countries access our courses and resources. Our courses are also translated into eight languages. There is a dire need for theologically trained pastors and leaders in areas of the world where Christianity is growing the fastest. As such, we have developed a program specifically to meet this need in the form of a Diploma in Ministry Leadership that is available fully online or in a small group format in printed form. This program was developed by majority world leaders for majority world leaders and can articulate towards an accredited credential for qualified learners at local rates.
