While Jeremiah’s calling is distinctive and dramatic, it’s similar in some ways to that of other prophets. Jeremiah encounters God and is identified and commissioned like Isaiah and Ezekiel. Like those two, Jeremiah objects and is reassured of his calling before receiving a sign. In the next exercise, you’ll be given six categories that fit the pattern of prophetic calling.
