God is interested in all aspects of our lives and He expects us to be good stewards of all He has blessed us with. We are also obligated to share those blessings with others who are in need as God directs us to…
-
I know this to be true but it is challenging that God usually only gives us small pieces of the puzzle to work work rather than the big picture of his plans. It keeps us dependent on him.
-
The idea that God often provides few details when He calls us, especially to do something new or different. We have to find out what to do, step by step, as we maintain an intimate relationship with God.

God loves honesty. Sometimes throughout the course of life, I’ve stumbled, but it is good to be refreshed.
-
It seems pretty important to God why we work, how we work, what we choose to do. Every area of work should bring glory to God.

Many segments of our society pretend to be honest, law-abiding citizens. When in reality, they could care less about whether we live or die, as long as they get what they want from us.
-
Telling “white lies”, leaving out pertinent information, saying anything to get what we want or to “protect” our reputation.
-
Hiding flaws of something you sell; accepting bribes; submitting false tax return forms; slipping out to do your own thing when you claim to be running job errands, etc.

In American society, it has to be advertising. We see so many commercials that promise one thing, but rarely ever “life up to the hype” of what’s being advertised. An example is cell phone service. The big print says “unlimited”, but the small print slows data if you use too much. If businesses, such as cell phone service providers were being honest, there would be no need for small print.

I experienced this in a job. An employer promised something when I was being offered a promotion but then when I actually stepped into the role, they never made good on what they had promised.
-
I have ever been cheated of money when I was younger. I half-suspected he was dishonest, but I was not mature enough to know how to say no.

As Helen commented, you love God, and you trust. My experience comes with lending and not being repaid what was lent.
-
When I was trying to sell insurance I couldn’t get past the half truths and lies that are prevalent in that field.

Nothing recently that I can think of, however, being married, I can think of a few times where I had to leave my gift at the alter and go apologize to my wife for a dishonest act. It may didn’t seem dishonest at the time, but God’s Holy Spirit will convict, and it require repentance, apology, and correction.
-
I agree. There are opportunities in marriage for this. Even if it is so minor, the Holy Spirit will convict me to keep our marriage completely built on honoring God and keeping full trust intact with one another.

Not applicable for me. I do use those steps for reconciliation if I am dishonest. I make it right with the person(s) I wronged and with God too. I do not steal, so returning what I took wrongfully does not apply to me. The Bible says we are not to allow anything to hinder our expedient restoration and making things right swiftly.
-
Looking back on something I said , to get a laugh out. After I felt bad and went to ask the person to forgive me. Yes, just knowing the truth set us free.
-
I lied to the owner of my house I am renting. He asked me if I changed the heater filter. I told him I did, even though I hadn’t. So when he left, I changed it. I am afraid to tell him, for I do not want him to think I am a liar.

My wife and I have our own spending plan Excel spreadsheet.

The Estimated Spending Plan helped me to see that I was spending way too much money on dining out. It should be a treat and not the norm. I had gotten lazy and just not fixed lunch from home or was not prepping dinner and just catching a bite out. That was eating up my budget fast! I had to make changes to remedy it quickly.
-
Just knowing the Lord Jesus Christ, praying, seeking the face of God. Everything works out.
-
I completed this one the same way I have completed all of the rest of financial spending plans. There was one part I left blank because I found it redundant.
-
I looked them over. They are useful tools to refine spending and have a plan to follow. Budgeting in some form is crucial to financial health, provided both parties are onboard. Typically these days, each spouse works and controls their own earnings. They may use a joint account. Joint expenses may re split between them in some way.
