God is interested in all aspects of our lives and He expects us to be good stewards of all He has blessed us with. We are also obligated to share those blessings with others who are in need as God directs us to…
-
I know this to be true but it is challenging that God usually only gives us small pieces of the puzzle to work work rather than the big picture of his plans. It keeps us dependent on him.
-
The idea that God often provides few details when He calls us, especially to do something new or different. We have to find out what to do, step by step, as we maintain an intimate relationship with God.

God loves honesty. Sometimes throughout the course of life, I’ve stumbled, but it is good to be refreshed.
-
It seems pretty important to God why we work, how we work, what we choose to do. Every area of work should bring glory to God.

Over the decades, I have tried to Honor God and my extended family. I never realized that the Bible does not refer to “Retirement” whereas our society as a whole is hung up on the idea. In the future, I WILL prioritize my workload to continue to increase my relationship with God and my extended family.
-
I’m diligent to watch my hours so that I don’t dishonor my family or God by overworking and giving them less.
-
I put my appointments promptly on my phone calendar. This way, I can see whether I am overwhelmed or I can take on more. Usually, I roughly list out the things I want to do, right at the beginning of a day, although I may not stick closely to it all the time. It is a guide, but I do not let it trap me either.

I find the time for schooling work and church life praying and studying God’s word

My job allows me 3 days off a week, and that is a major blessing as I get to spend that time with my family and on learning and building my land.

Easiest: the first three. Hardest: The last 2. Thankfully I’m in a work situation where all of them come quite easily, but I have worked in difficult secular work situations where 4 and 5 did come much harder.

That will probably be honouring those in higher positions. It isn’t that I am by nature disrespectful or defiant. In fact, I am a good team worker. But occasionally, when I meet a leader who is incompetent or prideful or not open to ideas, etc., I do wonder how he got to his position while being who he is. I think the best way for me to find equilibrium is to tell God about it.

The employee’s responsibility for me is just writing notes and sitting down watching people on my security job or a job where I can just buzz people in on my security job
-
Limiting contact with friends is the best thing I can do, but the hardest thing is respecting others or my superiors.
-
You took the words out of my mouth! I have at times had to watch what I say to superiors when they aren’t very good at their job.

As a Christian honesty and faithfulness come naturally to me, so those are easy for me. I also honor those in authority over me, even when it is difficult. As a prayer warrior, prayer comes easily to me. I do it frequently and have made a habit of it. So, I guess sharing my faith would be the most difficult. It isn’t that my life does not show my faith at work, in fact it does and it is encouraged, but I do not have as many opportunities to share as often as I would like. Therein lies the challenge, creating more opportunities to share the Good News while at work.

What insights did you gain from completing the Goals worksheet?

It is good to have goals written down in one spot so I can see everything easily and keep focused on the overall goals.
-
Goals may change at different phases of life, so this is a good template to return to now and then. I think I am at a senior phase of life when preferably my goal, skills, passions and responsibilities should converge rather than diverge.

I know and navigate what I need to do more easily, what is more important is to do everything according to God’s will taught me in His word
-
I realized that I am later in life in my planning but my goals are still achievable with just a few minor adjustments. Small steps establish new habits that will eventually get me to my end goal. It does not require a great deal of money to get started. Start slow and build from there. Better late than never.
