To learn about God, and to gain a better understanding of Jesus and how we can be certain of who Jesus is.

Much of the old testament is quoted in the new testament. SCripture is all one story of a redeeming God. Without the old testament, we will be missing part of the story.

The Old Testament teaches us the character of God. It reveals to us the reason for Christ coming as the Word made flesh to dwell among. The Old Testament is filled with truth and it teaches us how to live in revelation of our Holy God and Creator.

If we do not have an understanding if God, His word or the prophecy of Jesus Christ, we cannot fully understand or know God.

Different characters and events in the Old Testament are mentioned in the New Testament. So without sufficient knowledge of the Old Testament, it could pose some challenges in understanding the New Testament.

There is a history of everything and the beginning to everything. And GOD says I am the alpha and the omega the beginning and the end, so it would be difficult to understand the end without understanding the beginning
