I would prioritize the three reasons for studying the Bible in the following order:
-
<strong data-start=”90″ data-end=”138″>”It is essential to knowing and loving God.”
<ul data-start=”144″ data-end=”462″>
- The foundation of our faith is a personal relationship with God. Without knowing Him through His Word, we cannot truly love Him (John 17:3). Studying the Bible allows us to understand His character, will, and love for us. A strong relationship with God then naturally leads to spiritual growth and service.
-
<strong data-start=”467″ data-end=”511″>”It is essential for growing up in God.”
<ul data-start=”517″ data-end=”815″>
- Once we know and love God, we need to grow in our faith (2 Peter 3:18). The Bible provides wisdom, correction, and guidance (2 Timothy 3:16-17) that help us mature spiritually, enabling us to live according to His will. Growth in God strengthens our faith and prepares us for effective service.

<strong data-start=”820″ data-end=”857″>”It is essential to serving God.”
<ul data-start=”863″ data-end=”1179″>
- Service is a natural outgrowth of knowing and loving God and growing in Him. When we study the Scripture, we are equipped for every good work (Ephesians 2:10, 2 Timothy 3:17). service should be rooted in a deep knowledge of and love for God; otherwise, it can become an empty duty rather than joyful obedience.

What? How? Why?
The what, how, and why of life. The answer to the history’s greatest question.
-
I crave God’s Word so I can grow in him spiritually. Which leads to me knowing and loving God more. Therefore I want to please God by serving him.
-
Just like the verse says, ” we must crave spiritual milk” or the Message puts it this ways ” drink deeply”, so I think growing up in God would come first as we feed from God’s Word and then becasue of that, knowing,loving and serving will follow close behind.

I would say that using the methods from this course is essential for me to grow in the way I have hoped for. Knowing God is my essential purpose for doing this at all. Without God, where would I be? Since He knows the plans He has for me, growing up in the Word is the only way for me to read out God’s plan. To serve Him and others with love, just as God shares His love for me. Keeping God at the center of my life, Loving Him with all thy ways, and knowing that He is God.
