Knowing God personally is accomplished by doing what he ask us to do(obedience). Reading the Bible gives us a glimps of who he is however, he will reveal himself to us as we obey him, obedience = love. Once we join him in his work he will continue to show himself to us, cultivating this relationship. This relationship, will be established by God, not us.

To be born again by the grace of God goes hand in hand with knowing and loving Him. They happen simultaneously, or at least they should. The new child of God needs nourishment from His word to grow, and God provides the desire and His word for that to take place. As you begin the know God, there comes a desire to serve Him. To know, love, and serve God becomes the natural order in the Christian’s journey.

I would suggest prioritizing knowing and loving God being primary.

I would then suggest growing up in God.

    I would suggest serving God.

All three are essential however as with any relationship it requires a desire to love and know the person. The growing in your love and knowing the person leads to growing up in God which prompts one to serve God.

In the evangelical Christian tradition, the prioritization of reasons for studying the Bible is deeply rooted in Scripture and theological understanding. While all three reasons—knowing and loving God, growing in God, and serving God—are interconnected, a common evangelical perspective emphasizes the following order:

    1. <strong data-start=”361″ data-end=”387″>Knowing and Loving God: This is considered the foundational reason for Bible study. Jesus Himself stated, “And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent” (John 17:3). For evangelicals, knowing God through Scripture is paramount, as it leads to a deeper love and relationship with Him.

    2. <strong data-start=”748″ data-end=”766″>Growing in God: Once a believer knows and loves God, the next step is spiritual growth. The Bible is seen as essential for this process, providing nourishment and guidance. As 1 Peter 2:2 suggests, “Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation.” This growth leads to maturity in faith and understanding.

    3. <strong data-start=”1152″ data-end=”1167″>Serving God: The final reason is to serve God effectively. Scripture equips believers for good works, as 2 Timothy 3:16-17 states, “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” Service flows naturally from a deep knowledge and love of God, and from spiritual growth.Grow Closer+7Home+7Christian Publishing House Blog+7

This prioritization is based on the understanding that a deep relationship with God is the root from which spiritual growth and effective service spring. Without knowing and loving God, growth and service may lack the proper foundation and motivation.

Well knowing God is very important to me. I believe all three is very important to know God and to serve him with all of your heart, with all your soul and with all you mind. You have a quite time with God. You can talk to God every day and every night. You can read your Bible every day and every night . You can journal notes in your journal of Bible scripit

Developing a relationship with God, with Him in His deserved place upon the throne of your life and you in loving service to Him, is the first priority. Scripture is God’s divine, special revelation to us and is needed for us to grow in our comprehension and thus our love of Him. He is the invisible God, thereby we must rely on His self-disclosure in scripture (special revelation) and creation (to a lesser extent, natural theology).

Growing up in God is next, as it is our spiritual maturity that spurs us on to serving God appropriately, but it is our love and knowledge of God that spurs on this spiritual growth in the first place. We must grow to produce fruit (which is proper service, that we produce good spiritual fruit according to our LORD).

Logically, all of these components are interconnected and exist side-by-side in the life of a Christian. As we study God’s revealed Word, devotionally and academically, we grow in our love and knowledge of Him, growing spiritually as we seek to serve Him as a result.

I agree with the replies that I just read.

I couldn’t have said it any better myself.
