As we inhabit God’s story, we need to come back time and again to the beginning, that we are made in God’s image and likeness. God’s love made the world, and His purpose in creating us was that we would have fellowship with Him and with each other. We can enter into this ancient world of Genesis with our imaginations, with our eyes of faith, and remind ourselves that each one of us is made in God’s image, each is precious beyond price to the Creator God.
In this lesson, you learned how to:
- Articulate the importance of Genesis 1–3 for the entire story of the Bible.
- Practice strategies for reading the Bible as story.
- Reflect on how you can live into God’s story.
Continue to Lesson 3: The Message of God’s Story to learn how to recognize the true message when you read Scripture.
