ABSOLUTELY! I AGREE BASED ON 1 COR 2:10-16 THE SPIRIT IS THE ONLY ONE WHO KNOWS THE MIND OF GOD AND HE WAS SENT TO TEACH AND BRING ALL THINGS TO OUR REMEMBERANCE. THE NATURAL MAN CANT RECIEVE THE THINGS OF GOD BECAUSE THEY ARE SPIRITUALLY DISCERNED; SO UNLESS YOU BE BORN AGAIN YOU WONT HAVE THE TEACHER LIVING INSIDE OF YOU TO HELP YOU UNDERSTAND THE DEEP THINGS OF GOD.
-
The short answer is YES. When one is born again, that person has had experience being guided by the Holy Spirit with the hope that God will guide him/her towards truth. That person will seek other believers to understand Scripture when in doubt of its meaning. His predisposition is to know God through His Word.

I agree in order for you to see the bible through the eyes of God you must be a born again Christian, anyone else outside of God can create it’s own understanding and it won’t line up with what God is actually saying.

I don’t disagree with Dr. Kaiser. (However, I do know there are some very intelligent people in the world; and if they read the Bible with an open heart and without bias, it is still a POSSIBILITY to understand the Bible — even if they aren’t saved yet.)
-
Yes. Without the Holy Spirit, one cannot have the help that only He can give. The Bible talks of Satan blinding the minds of them that don’t believe. How could someone properly interpret the Bible while being blinded?

WE WONT. YOU HAVE TO RID YOURSELF OF WHAT YOU “THINK ” YOU KNOW AND LET THE HOLY SPIRIT GUIDE YOU INTO THE LIGHT( WHICH IS THE WORD OF GOD ENTERING YOUR LIFE. THE BIBLES SYS THE ENTRANCE OF YOUR WORD GIVES LIGHT(UNDERSTANDING)

Becoming aware of personal biases should be a starting point before interpreting Scripture. To help alleviate bias, one should stay within the parameters of doing exegesis in the context that is being analyzed. Eisegesis is the root cause of deviating from the author’s intended meaning.
-
Add prayer to the conversation which would allow everyone to have an open heart and understanding of what is being shared through others, so we then can can began to understand what God is saying to us.
-
By asking the Holy Spirit for guidance and an open-heart before we begin reading!

We come to everything in life with certain bias and conditioning due to our cultures and upbringing. But I believe that Biblical texts are revealed to us through the Holy Spirit. When we study God’s word, applying scripture to interpret scripture, we can find the true meanings and applications

THEY SHOULD RELATE TO EACH OTHER IN LOVE THATS THE ONLY WAY!

Most independent and denominational Churches have doctrinal differences that range from minor to major. If the differences are not fundamental to the Christian faith, and the person is not open to correction, trying to change another’s mind is not a hill to die on. Christians have the same problem as non-believers: our pride prevents us from examining our bias from another’s perspective.
-
I think it’s important to listen to other people’s understanding of the Bible so we can be open to hearing others’ perspectives. This gives both/all parties the opportunity for furthering our Biblical studies, personal education, and even mentorship. That’s an important aspect – inviting church mentors into the conversations to guide us toward spiritual understanding.

Ask the Lord for clarification and the right words to say to glorify him and his word.
