I have experienced this with those that are close to me. There was a time where there was job lost in my home and the bills had gotten well into the $4000s and we were facing eviction and the electricity being cut off. The person was telling me to seek assistance from the state and I told them that I am trusting God because I tried to get assistance and it fail. All I can continue to do is trust God and not lean on my own understanding about the situation. To shorten the story and to give my testimony. The very amount that I needed was given to me by my sister. She had gotten an unexpected refund from somewhere that she dealt with years before and she said that God told her to give me the money. Look at God!! Hallelujah!! Every time that I think about how good He has been and has never fail me, I get a praise in my mouth. What a Mighty God we serve!!

Each time I meet with my small group, I give examples from my life that defend my faith in Christ–through good times and bad, suffering and celebration, my hope in Christ gives me purpose and defines who I am. I try to show them through my words and actions that Christ is someone you cannot live without in your life.

I think the biggest times you must defend your faith is when something bad happens to someone and they say, “If God loves me or is real why has this happened?” You must tell them that God is a loving God who we may not understand why he does something, but it is always for a bigger purpose and will help us overall.

Yes, I have to defend my faith. I’m not sure I used appropriate wording though. One big one is, if God is real and so loving why did this or that happen to me.
