Yes, my defence has always been my personal experience with my Lord Jesus Christ who saved me and gave me the opportunity to be part of His dear kingdom. Everything I have gone through in life is God making a way to save and restore me to an honorable status. When people ask, I tell them what I have been graced to partake of.

I met a gentleman in a restaurant and began talking to him. I shared the hope and healing I had found in Jesus. He said he is a Buddahist, and he wanted to be controlled. I gently said to him that it is God doesnt try to control us abd it is God who gives us all free will. I could see the lightbulb come on.

The first I can think of was when I was a teenager. I used to go for catechism. A school mate asked me what God have ever done for me. Whether God existed. I felt foolish and the thought haunted me until I found Jesus many years later. Ever since, I had on multiple occasions had to defend my faith. I am not sure how well I have fared but I believe that after this course, I will be much better at it.

when I first came to the faith, with all my enthusiasm I tried to share the word with a non believer friend. He appreciated my eagerness but commented that I seemed to lack knowledge of what I was sharing. How right he is, and that was a good sobering reminder to be truly grounded in the Word of God, and in His Work, so that we can point people He will place in our lives with both head knowledge and heart knowledge(as we experience His grace in our lives) and with a conviction that can only come because we not just know the truth, but know God.

I am a teacher at a Christian school. While at least one parent of our students must profess faith in Christ, we sometimes have students, especially middle or high school, who question what it means to be a Christian. There have been several times in which I have the opportunity to share my faith and answer “deep” spiritual questions that students will ask.
