I am excited to embrace these concepts in my own care for others. Self-awareness is essential to be aware of what is troubling others, and I believe Crabb encapsulates that well.

I have already enjoyed this course applied some of to myself and my thirst for God and so my closeness to God has grown and grown !
So I am feeling excited and inadequate
Excited to meet people and be with them in ways that means we both have more of a thirst For God.
In adequate becomes I am
But then I am realising I am totally dependant on Him and have The Holy Counsellor inside me.
I am already experiencing being more involved in the battle of the souls inside other people I am seeing as Christian friend/ Christian Counsellor
So it’s all ok !
More than OK!

I feel inadequate, overwhelmed, wondering if I do things from a selfish standpoint or soul thirst concept.
As I listened to my co-worker’s journey today about her son, I told her I didn’t have a magical prayer or a magical pill to make her feel better or to change her son, but shared my experience with my son, I offered her the prayer of agreement and told her there was no time limit on growth and maturity. We did pray for wisdom and God’s plan and protection for her son.
I let her know it was God who protects and keeps our children.
Reframed it all, love has to be enough.

Being able to offer an ear and heart of and compassion to someone without being stressed about how to respond and actually get excited about what God can do though me to meet the persons need. I don’t have to be intimidated.

Being a member of a Soul Care group while also doing the course is such a unique experience. I’m experiencing being the receiver and the giver at the same time. Dr. Crabbs concepts not only confirm what I find in scripture but have convinced me of how needful Soul Care is in every facet of life and especially in the church.
