“For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.” Proverbs 2:6
I do agree that “only a believer is able to truly love wisdom as God created us to love”. Since all wisdom and truth come from God, those who seek wisdom, but do so without faith and belief in God will not find it. Seeking God first is the only way to understanding. Loving God is the only way to truly love wisdom.
-
Yes I would agree because like she said, God is the bedrock. He is our firm foundation and I feel like non-believers don’t truly grasp the wisdom God gives us believers.
-
I agree that true Christians can love wisdom as God intended them to as our desire is to get to know God. We can’t get to know God without finding His wisdom. He is the bedrock of our lives and we know He loves us. Therefore His wisdom is what we seek. Before knowing God, people may search for wisdom to attain and may very well find God in the process of their search for true wisdom, yet they will have a difficult time loving wisdom as God created us to without knowing God Himself.
-
I would disagree. This is an untenable statement, because it dismisses all non-believing philosophers (or anyone for that matter) who have ever existed as being unable to truly love wisdom. Because we are made in His image, we mirror certain capacities of God. Love is one of them. There is no reason why a person isn’t capable of loving wisdom or even truly loving wisdom from even a secular-humanist perspective.
-
I agree. Only believers can love wisdom. God created us with a mind, body, and soul. God’s word is our bedrock!

I’m here to help develop my philosophy as an educator. I have 15 years of experience from the world and now I’ve decided to do training to make sure I’m applying my faith to everything that I do.

I am hoping to be challenged in how I integrate biblical truth into every aspect of my classroom while not having come across as “forced” or “just something we do.” I am hoping to find news ways to authentically incorporate the Scriptures into my teaching strategies.
-
In studying this course, I hope to gain a build a better foundation for teaching within a Christian environment. Understanding how Scripture speaks to each of these issues is paramount to creating the most Gospel-centered classroom possible. I want to create an environment where students feel safe exploring their faith, asking difficult questions, and searching Scripture for the truth is contains. As an educator, I hope to grow by developing a more intentional classroom, focused on Christ in whatever context.
-
I want to gain more wisdom in applying a biblical worldview in my lessons. I hope to grow as an educator who uses biblical truth and worldview in my teaching subjects.
-
I would very much like to be effective in how I create a strong context for Christian Education in m classroom and in my daily interactions with children, colleagues and parents. I would also aim to continually be mindful of wisdom as the bedrock and foundation of my interactions with students.

Why is it imperative that Christian educators have a Christian philosophy of education?

Christian educators must know the mind of Christ and the only way is by truly knowing God, what God is expecting from us and who God is.
-
As Christian educators we must be able to assist our students in gaining a true understanding of God and being a reflection of God by doing his work. Knowing god results in worship of God.
-
It is important for Christian educators to have a Christian Philosophy of Education so that we can impart a Christian worldview. We cannot give that which we do not possess. The Christian Philosophy allows us to teach our subject matter from a biblical worldview to our students.
-
It is imperative that Christian educators have a Christian philosophy so that we can be properly ready for any situation that might occur in our daily classroom. By being prepared, we can also talk to students more about God and Christ. When we teach students this at a young age, they will grasp onto it so they will “not depart” from God. If they do, they will have the skills to come back.

It is imperative that Christian educators have a Christian Philosophy of Education so that we can properly equip our students to view the world ahead of them with a Christian worldview. The Christian Philosophy allows us to teach the truth to our students.
