Yes, I agree. As we grow closer to God and His teachings we are able to gain wisdom and love the wisdom He provides.
-
I would agree with this statement. God is the one who has gifted us with the wisdom and given us the love of learning. Only through him can we gain true understanding and appreciation for that wisdom.
-
I think anyone could love wisdom, but yes, I think that to love wisdom “as God created us to love,” complete wisdom, it requires that some fear God.
-
If wisdom is a Godly wisdom, not just knowledge of God and other things, then yes. Only those who truly know and love God can love his wisdom.
-
I totally agree with this statement. God created us to love and not only commands us to love but He gives us the power to love. No one can really feel this love or power unless they are a true believer in God. Wisdom only comes from God. We can’t do anything in our own power. So if a person is a believer, he/she will know that the only way to truth is through Christ. They will then learn to reverence God in all truth which leads to the fear of God then that is the beginning of wisdom.

I am hoping to more define my Christian philosophy of education.
-
I hope to grow in my ability to clearly teach the Bible to students in a way that is both understandable and challenging.
-
To grow in my ability to clearly communicate and teach a Biblical Worldview in every lesson taught in the classroom.
-
By taking this course I hope to develop a deeper understanding of what true Christian Education is and hope to learn engaging methods of integrating God’s Word into every lesson that I teach.
-
I hope to gain more wisdom of what I truly believe and why I believe it. When I do this I can more fully integrate God’s words and truths into all areas of my teaching.

Why is it imperative that Christian educators have a Christian philosophy of education?

It is important to have a Christian Philosophy of education so God is center in teaching. Christian education should build up a student’s understanding of God and should partner with families to raise strong followers of Christ. Without a plan and a philosophy Christian education becomes private school with Bible stories mixed in.
-
The Christian educator is obligated by their relationship to God to know God first, and make Him known. Logically then, the emphasis of ones philosophy should be front and center to their activity as a believer/teacher. Truth (God’s Word) is standard of all matters concerning faith and conduct in the life of the Believer.
-
As Christian educators our main purpose is to help families fulfill their God-given role- to raise children up in the ways of the Lord. This can only be achieved when we have a strong philosophy of Christian Education and a deep understanding and love of God’s Word in our own lives.
-
If we want to pass down our knowledge of God to the next generation, then we need to know exactly what it is that we believe. We need to know our Bibles and what God’s words mean to us personally, if we are going to pass this along to our students. If we do not have a heart for God ourselves, our students will see right through us. How can we truly love our students if we first do not fully commit to our understanding of God’s love for us.

I believe that it is important for myself to have a strong philosophy in Christian education, so that my foundation is solid in Christ. So that I can defend the way I am teaching to every child and parent and grandparent that I come in contact with.
