We should consider our work based on the Bible, with a biblical perspective.
-
It’s a Bible sandwich. We need to be wrapped by God’s word in everything we do.
-
The standards for textbooks and what we are teaching should be based on what God’s word says.
-
As Christian educators, all we do is centered around God’s word. Everything we teach is within the confinement of God’s word.

God’s word must surround everything I do inside and outside the classroom. The Bible provides the framework and the worldview with which the world can be understood.

Some techniques that encourage my growth mindset are:
1. I always pray for wisdom to help me navigate challenges, so I can see the bigger picture instead of simply asking for the problem to be removed. (Romans 8:28)
2. I focus on being thankful for everything God has done rather than concentrating on my present needs, which can lead to complaining and negativity. (Philippians 2:13)
3. I encourage myself in the Lord by celebrating every success I achieve. (Jeremiah 29:11)

For this class, I wanted to find a program that taught the curriculum, vs. just trying to read it. I really wanted to learn and grow from this mandatory class instead of just getting it done.
-
To in a week, I should try and read articles or materials that will help me grow in my profession as Christian educator.
-
I am trying to learn from other colleagues and learn from my students as well. I am continually looking for ways to help students understand the material. I have read books and kept up with relevant content in the field. I try to encourage it with my students as well as myself.
-
To encourage a growth mindset, I set incremental goals and actively seek challenges, viewing them as opportunities for learning. I also practice reflective journaling and positive self-talk to reinforce the belief that effort leads to improvement and that mistakes are valuable learning experiences.

I hope to understand how to biblically integrate the bible in all of my lesson plans so that students can experience God deeper in each class.
-
I hope to understand how I can integrate Scripture into daily lessons and draw out my students to interact with God’s word. I want to do a new thing, something more than just opening prayer or an occasional Bible verse.
-
I am looking to find strategies that will
allow me to be more effective in communicating the truths of God’s word in a Christian environment (classroom).
-
I expect to learn new strategies to integrate the Bible into each subject. Thinking I do this well already, I look forward to the aha moments to learning more.
