As a visual learner, I appreciated her illustration. For me it demonstrated the key reminder of the course objectives. We should be sure to keep our scope & sequence and our curriculum content grounded in and surrounded by Biblical principles.

This is a visual of centrality of Scripture. Scripture should surround and be incorporated into everything that we do.
-
Our foundation of every lesson needs to be built on scripture. Our lessons will intertwine God’s Word from beginning to end.
-
She is saying that we must begin and end with God’s word. Everything we do and say should have it’s origin with the Bible.
-
She is saying that our lessons and plans need to begin and end with God’s Word. Everything we teach needs to be compared to God’s Word to see if it matches what God’s Word says or if it says something different. Those are opportunities for discussion in class and activities to discover the similarities and differences all while pointing students back to God’s Word through every lesson we teach.

When things interest me or spark curiosity, I like to search them on google scholar instead of just google in order to learn more in depth, scientifically studied information.

The Holy Spirit is my Comforter who delights in making me uncomfortable when I am settling for less than He’s had in mind for me. He prompts me to continue growing and facilitates that growth. One of the ways He does this is by stirring me to pray for humility, and an increased and sustained sense of awe, reverence, and wonder for God and His Word.

I’ve considered complete retirement from teaching and not renewing my State License. This ACSI certification may take the place of State Licensing, though I am hesitant to give up that which I worked so hard for. I just feel like I need to press on and not give up all. The Lord may have a place for me yet in teaching.

I challenge myself to give new assignments for every new class despite having the content material being taught to be the same every semester. This challenge causes me to look for the most effective lesson plan for each topic.
-
I seek to improve on teaching strategies in the classroom and outside as I am connecting with students and building relationships.

I hope to make Biblical integration in my classroom, a natural component. Not staged, not to “mark it off”, but more of who I am in my classroom.
-
I hope to gain some practical ways to integrate the Bible into my classroom lessons. I have always struggled with planning this ahead of time so as to show that in my lesson plans. It comes up organically very easily, but planning it ahead of time is a bit more challenging.
-
Through this course, I hope to have a better practice of integrating a biblical worldview into my daily lessons. I had some practice with this last year, but I desire to make improvements for the coming school year.
-
I hope to gain new methods of how to incorporate the Bible into my lessons DAILY.
