The politics and policies of what the chaplain is likely misunderstood. Also a large part of the job is administrative, with overseeing and recruiting being a very large part of the job.

Now days the chaplain role is more maintenance related than spiritual. It caters to more of the physical than spiritual. and the chaplain interacts with many types of religion. In Christisndom many believers in the church would be legalist and not see the grace of God
