I feel Nihilism and Existentialism are most alike. Both views seem to have no meaning in life. Monotheism and Naturalism seem the most dissimilar as one believes in creator God who is in control while the other does not believe in creator at all.
-
I think nihilism and existentialism are the most alike. Both hold the viewpoint that life is essentially meaningless and void of any purpose or value. I think monotheism and nihilism are the most dissimilar. Belief in the Creator God and His love and care for humans/the world automatically infuses purpose and value into our lives and our very beings.
-
Nihilism and existentialism are most similar because they both do not acknowledge a creator, God, or Spirit and meaning of life is what you make it to be.
Monotheism and existentialism are most dissimilar because one believes there is a providential creator with an ultimate purpose, and the other believes life is meaningless and we create our meaning. Or naturalism (everything is matter, no spirit) vs pantheism (everything is spirit, no matter).

Most Alike: Naturalism & Nihilism
Both Naturalism and Nihilism reject the idea of a higher power or spiritual reality. Naturalism believes everything can be explained by science and nature, while Nihilism takes it a step further, concluding that if there’s no higher power, then life has no real meaning or value. Naturalism says, “Life is just physical,” and Nihilism says, “So, life doesn’t matter.”
Most Dissimilar: Monotheism & Nihilism
Monotheism believes in a personal, loving God who gives life purpose, value, and moral direction, while Nihilism believes there is no God, no meaning, and no inherent value in life. One says, “God gives life purpose,” the other says, “There is no purpose at all.”
