Before: A good leader must listen to who they are leading to gauge personalities and talents.
After: A good leader must take action to lead not only by determining “who”, but also Where, How and What the end result look like. Not every leader is equipped to lead every experience or endeavor. -
I think the great leader is a guy that leads by example and knows how to communicate.

I’m learning a good leader leads by example and sometimes let’s the people below them take over situations.

Serves, motivates, cares for. I wouldn’t change it all that much, though like the lesson discussed, different situations will require different tactics.

[Good] Leadership takes people to a destination that is better than where they were that they could not have reached on their own. I appreciate Dr. Sid’s description of management as making sure we’re doing what we’re supposed to be doing where we are.

Management maintains the current situation and leadership evolves to the next level.

Leadership takes you to a new and beter destination, management helps in the effectiveness and execution.

Leadership makes people better and takes them to a better place. Management just helps people where they currently are and it doesn’t incite movement.

Leadership takes people somewhere, Management helps them do (execute) what needs to be done.
