Lesson Overview
The New Testament challenges each of us: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters” (Colossians 3:23 NIV). With this in mind, we offer this course “Faith at Work.”
Lesson Objectives
When you complete this lesson, you should be able to:
- Explain what your life’s purpose as a Christian should be.
- Gain insight on the value of numbering your days.
- Understand the importance of taking inventory of your current responsibilities—setting a life direction and priorities.
- Understand how your daily spiritual disciplines impact your effectiveness for Christ in the workplace.
- Recognize that your work in the workplace is an opportunity to bring honor to God by the decisions you make and by the way you interact with others.
Personal Reflection
As you proceed through this lesson have the following question in mind.
What impressed you most about your life assessment and the result of bringing glory to God by and through your work? What challenges do you face applying these principles?
