To be merciful is to be compassionate and kind, to put ourselves in other people’s situation and to approach each situation and each person with human understanding and God’s love.
-
To be merciful is to be compassionate to others. Perhaps look at the reason behind someone’s actions and try to understand where they are walking through at that time.
-
Merciful means to treat others the way you want to be treated. Imagine finding yourself in the other person’s circumstance. How would you want people to react to you?
-
Being merciful means we should treat others how we would want to be treated. Even if someone doesn’t deserve it, we should show compassion and care for them, empathizing with their situation. We should not try to judge them or put ourselves above them by mocking them, but we should truly be the hands and feet of Jesus. As Christians, we need to help others at all times, remembering that he washed his disciples feet–even those who would betray him. Showing mercy means at all times, especially when people don’t deserve it!
-
To be merciful is not to despise, mock or gloat over those who end up in misfortune, whether through their own fault or not. Instead, it is to show compassion, pity, or care for them. It implies to help them whether they deserve it or not.

clean of heart means that you are completely devoted to God, not double-minded. You study His word, and consistently work toward being more Christ like everyday.
-
Pure in heart reflects a person who is spiritual clean. A person who has chosen to acknowledge the One Sovereign God.
-
To be kind, gentle, merciful, caring, loving, reflecting all the characteristics of our Heavenly Father and Lord Jesus Christ.
-
To be devoted to the one and only God, and reflect that devotion in my behavior so others see Him in me.
-
Pure in heart means to be completely devoted to God, and to allow that to reflect through your words, actions and attitudes.
