Because Christ died for us we have the freedom from evil and the freedom to choose our path.

There is the freedom from the wrath of God but there is also the freedom to become Christ -like. Most of us understand that we are set free from the penalty of son when we accept Christ as our Savior. But like me, I wonder how many of us have not totally grasped that we are also set free to become Christ like through the help of the Holy Spirt.

We have freedom as the result of Christ’s work; freedom from fear, anxiety, legalism, and sin because Jesus died on the cross for us. When I am afraid, when I don’t know what to do, I can lean on God – he has really big shoulders to support us all.
I know I trust God to guide me, comfort me, and I have something to look forward to upon death – eternal life with my Father God.
-
I am forgiven and no longer have to bear the burdens of my sins. We have access to God through Christ, and get to experience a life of God’s unconditional love, mercies that are new each morning and peace in every circumstance knowing victory lies in Jesus Christ.
