It means that we are no longer bound by our sinful nature and that trough Christ we can have everlasting life.

Knowing that Christ died for my sins gives me freedom from guilt and condemnation, fear of not being able to please God, assurance of eternity, but today- right now, I have access to the God of the universe who cares enough about me to want to be my constant Companion, my Guide and promises me peace as I pursue His Presence.

The freedom we get from Christ is not living in bondage, the ability to walk freely knowing He is there and helping us overcome adversity, and grow. Praise be to God.

I have the freedom to approach God in grace according to His power within me and the willingness to obey Him out of love. Keeping love forefront of my mind every day enables me to treat others with kindness and empathy regardless of their behavior (bad or good) towards me. I was always taught freedom by my parents as I grew up (African American), however, when I started learning about God’s freedom as a believer, it emphasized how God has given me a teacher, the Holy Spirit, to guide me, teach me, show me the way, and help me to know that the Fruit of the Spirit is ingrained within my heart by Jesus Christ who died for my sins. Fear, worry, anxiety, and sinful desires have vanished and my focus is strength, power, righteousness, and love which dominates because of the freedom that Jesus Christ has bestowed upon my life dying for my sins and giving me eternal life.

I have heard numerous sermons on the fruits of the Spirit but I have not taken it further on my own. I am taking this course to hopefully gain godly insight into how I can live out the fruits of the Spirit in my life.

I have not studied the fruit of the Spirit prior to this course. I am a fairly new Christian and I am learning a lot more than I ever thought possible. I work for ODB and we do monthly discipleships and October is Fruit of the Spirit. I love how much I am learning and how much closer I feel to our Father God.

I have studied the fruits of the Spirit before and continue to apply them as a guide in my walk with Jesus. I am always ready to take a deeper dive into God’s Word and learn of His many truths so that I can continue to grow spiritually as well as fulfill Gods purpose in me!
