It’s important for Christians to read the Old Testament and New Testament together, because it’s one story told in 2 parts. You get the full meaning of the story and passage.

It is important that Christians read the Old Testament and New Testament because it’s both stories complete the larger story. Without the knowledge of one, you will not gain understanding with the other.

We need to know where we come from to understand what is going on today. The Old Testament began with the creation of the world and the people God put on earth to love. The prophets predicted about the messiah coming into the world in the New Testament to save the world from sin and to show us how to live the way God wants us to live.
