Contemporary application has always been a great interest to me. Studying the bible and learning scripture, history is great but knowing how to apply what I’ve learned is most important to me. Learning more about what is contained in the scriptures is my source of how to live and follow Christ.

I think historical context helps us understand how the meaning of the authors can apply to our lives today.

Contemporary application stood out the most to me. This is because I am always seeking ways to apply the Bible to my daily life and so it will help me by putting the New Testament in context.

All four questions are needed to understand the context and in order to apply the context you need that understanding. I think the historical background is needed so that you can see what the author was doing and feeling at that point in history, to be able to interpret the context you need the historical background and theology is definitely important as we want to know what the context is showing us in our Christian faith and lastly to be able to apply the context to today is very crucial.
