Historical background questions stood out to me most because getting the context of the writing is key to understanding what is being communicated. As I learn more about the Historical context through which the New Testament was written, I have a better understanding of how the context of our current culture can affect the lens through which we read and understand the Bible. I think this will help me gain an appreciation for how God’s Word transcends time and culture to influence all believers in past and present ages.
