What advice would you give a new Christian who wants to read the book of Revelation?

Since approaching this book may seem overwhelming ODBU provides several courses that will help remove the stigma by breaking it down into easier overviews of how to read and the and understsnd the overall purpose of the book.

I would advise people to read that book last. I wouldn’t want them to get discouraged. I would tell them to save that book for last, after they’ve read the rest of the Bible. They would definitely understand it better after reading the other books first.

Read the book after reading all of the other books in the Bible. Read with notes and understand its contexts.

First of all, it is a book of hope not gloom and doom. Use a commentary as you read through this book for help in understanding. And most important with all Bible reading, pray and ask the Holy Spirit to guide and help you with understanding.

Prior to reading the book of Revelations, you first must read old and new testament. Upon reading this chapter first you will not fully understand that this chapter tells us.
