We’ve been referring to the “Bible” as a single book in Bible Journey—and for good reason. We all have at least one Bible, and they are always a single book. But we’ve also been learning about the individual books of the Bible . . . books that make up a sacred library that grew over 1,500 years.

Let’s revisit that history to watch how the canon of Scripture formed—how an inspired collection of books became the inspired authority for the Church. It all starts with the notion of revelation.
