It turns out we can’t really study the Reformation without also learning about the printing press. The passion for the Bible as the only source of the Church’s authority was matched with a commitment to get the Word of God into the hands of common people who could read and interpret the Bible for themselves. That combination of passion and commitment was coupled with the printing press. And we are the heirs of that movement.

In our next lesson we want to look at a fresh wave of Bible translations that began with the Reformation. Let’s see why so many believe that all languages could have their own Scripture in our generation!
