What encouragement should we gain from the fact that we are part of the family of God?

There is no greater encouragement than knowing that we are part of the family of God. This gives our lives here on earth purpose and a reassurance that there is more to life than the suffering we experience. We will be saved and we have the gift of eternal life that is free from pain and suffering. Goodness and blessing await us in the end.

We as Christians have the support of other Christians that allows us to share our experiences with God. Each individual has different stories to share, but we all have Gods love in common

As members of the family of God, we have a loving and forgiving Father. We can take encouragement that no matter how far we stray we have a Father that loves us and will forgive us. That, through the death of Jesus, has adopted us and forgiven our sins.

This is all important. When Adam fell into sin, the human race was removed from the presence of God. It is through Jesus Christs redemptive sacrifice that we are not only forgiven, but through this adopted back into the family of God.

Just knowing we have been adopted into such glorious redemption brings joy to every believer’s heart. Because of redemption we have forever been pardon from the penalty of sin, seated in heavenly places with Him, call and chosen by His name, and shall reign in eternity- as it was from the beginning, so shall it be in the end.

How can we trust the Gospels and uphold them as reliable when they were written by human beings?

There is so much cross-reference within the Bible texts to the Gospels, cross-reference through texts outside of the Bible, and eye witness accounts written within the lifetime of Jesus Christ.

Why should we care that Jesus fulfilled the Old Testament messianic prophecies and expectations?

Because if Jesus is the Son of God, then the prophecies given by God are promises he is fulfilling through Christ. It shows us God is faithful and follows through o his promises; He is a trustworthy and truthful God.
