Genesis shows us that God is the Creator of everything. He has no beginning or end and is very powerful—He only had to speak, and the world was made. God is also wise and planned everything carefully. He made people special, in His own image, and wants a close relationship with us. That’s why He walked and talked with Adam and Eve in the garden.
God is also holy and fair. When Adam and Eve disobeyed Him, He punished them, but He didn’t stop loving them. He took care of them, protected them, and made promises to bless people through Abraham. Genesis shows us that God is loving, kind, patient, and always keeps His promises.

God is the Intelligent Designer of the Universe. He is loving and forgiving, but only to those who are also loving and forgiving and reflect these qualities in their lives and relationships. He has high expectations of mankind. He is not forgiving for those who sin and for those who refuse to ask to be forgiven. Additionally, a person must believe in God in order to receive his grace. God is to be loved and feared at the same time.

Genesis tells us that God made everything in the world—light, sky, land, plants, animals, and people. He made it all on purpose and said it was good. People are the most special part of creation because we are made in God’s image. God gave humans the job of taking care of the earth and everything in it.
God also set an example by resting on the seventh day after working for six days. But when Adam and Eve sinned, their actions brought pain and trouble into the world. Even so, Genesis reminds us that the world belongs to God, He cares for it, and He has a good plan to fix what went wrong.

I have been influenced a great deal by my readings in science as it reflects God’s existence. For me, the response to this question is now easy. God is truly the intelligent designer. How he did it will never be known, but man cannot explain how or why. The complexity of DNA alone should lead everyone to believe in God. As such. there is nothing in existence which is not a part of God’s creation. Genesis provides an outline and begins to expose what God expects of human beings. The rest of the Bible provides examples in how humans lived and died in relationships to those expectations.

That God created all of creation before man and in it He created everything that man would need.

That God was the beginning. That He created the earth for man and that He created man to commune with.
