God is all-loving and all-knowing but He is also a jealous God who can be angered by disobedience

God is love. God is patient and He is persistent and He is always with us and always alert. I’ve tried to point out the fact that the scriptures say “He is the God of the sabbath”. It wasn’t made for Him because He never rests, He never sleeps but as the architect of our being He knows our foibles and our weaknesses. God loved us first “while we were yet sinners” so He is accepting and forgiving. It may seems at times in scripture that He “repents” or “changes His mind” but this just isn’t true. He is the same now and for all eternity. He is timeless, He doesn’t change and He is everything, the Alpha and the Omega. He is more than worthy of our love, adoration and faith.

The book of Genesis begins and ends with the God is Love, as does the entire Bible. I have had the opportunity to teach the book of Genesis and also to debate where science comes into the book of Genesis. I tell people and I truly believe it that “I believe in God and I believe in science and I believe that science works because God created.” That’s what Genesis tells me. God loves us enough to create. He loves us enough to put in place a redemption plan when we fell. He loves us by name and He is in the details. It tells me that He will always take care of me, as a 74 year old poor but honest widow because He loves me…and I love Him right back as well as I can now and forever.

God is an Artist! He creates with perfection and what’s the best for everything including his people.

The ultimate goodness of God is on full display for us to savor prior to the need of a savior. Before the fall of man there is an indistinct respect if His creation and complete intent to share with man and beast alike utter harmony. This depiction is revealed throughout.

What does the book of Genesis tell us about creation?

Genesis tells us that creation was the result of intelligent design and purpose. Creation of earth and all the life upon it was not the result of a random event. God does not describe His methods in Genesis only His orderly process and the amazing result.
Genesis gives humans the assurance that their creation had a purpose, that they were wanted creatures and not just a by-product of chemical and electrical interactions.
The Genesis account of creation describes the beginning of the most important aspect of human existence, our relationship to God Almighty. Not only does Genesis give us the origin of our relationship to God, but it records the creation of all the other critical relationships in our lives.
The biblical creation account is the only creation account which explains the origin of the sexes and the resulting marriage. Genesis records the creation of families and God’s plan for the population of the earth.
Genesis is not to be read as a science text. That was not God’s intent. Genesis was written by Moses to the Jewish people. It was a part of God’s communication to His people that they were a planned for, deeply loved and wanted part of His world. Genesis connects the Jewish people through Abraham back to the original man, Adam.
This book gives God’s people both the biologically chosen and the spiritually chosen, a foundation grounded in Him.

Genesis tells us that God created everything with a specific order and purpose. All things work together, and reflect the Almighty who crafted it.

God created the earth and humans to live in fellowship and perfect union with Him

God Made everything unique and perfect! To reveal that HE is perfect and we would want to strife for such perfection and beauty to live in unity with him.
